Surreal and trance-like, the glass block Dreams sculptures of Swedish designer Bertil Vallien invoke daydreams and fantasies. Images depicted include a pensive visage, figures floating in a void, a tiny dog observing from the corner. Cool blue adds to the dreamy quality of the pieces, which are formed by Swedish glassworkers who pour the molten glass into molds of sand. Each glass sculpture comes with a wooden or iron stand, and makes a striking statement in any artistically inclined home.
